Systems Sales Manager

 SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 Direct control and responsibility for achieving budgeted sales objectives for company’s systems sales initiative in Eastern part of the United States.  (Systems sales are sales involving TOA audio and security products, either sold directly to an end-user or re-sold by a systems/integrator.)  Design and implementation of sales programs to augment the company’s systems sales results.  Provide training and point-of-contact to systems integrators.  Interface with specifiers and key end-users.  Maintain complete understanding and be a key resource to both management and the field relative to company philosophy, sales strategy, policies and procedures, promotional activities, customer relationships, product applications, and presentation standards.

 SPECIFIC DUTIES 

  • Achieve budgeted sales volume by capturing systems sales from end-users or through integrators/installing dealers.
  • Spearhead the forecasting process and work with management to create and implement sales budgets.
  • Manage relationships with systems integrators and other dealers including prospective dealers. 
  • Assure effective communication to senior management.  Examples of expected communications include, job tracking reports/project logs, trip reports, and more.
  • Interface with key specifiers (architects and consultants) and end-users to close large projects.  “Large” is defined as projects involving $20K or more of TOA products.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, and track sales trends on a continuing basis.
  • Monitor and provide input for executive management on a continuing basis regarding market conditions, competitive activity, manpower planning, customer relations, and product development needs.
  • Manage travel and entertainment budgets according to company guidelines.
  • Coordinate and participate in relevant trade shows, sales meeting, operations meetings, and special events.
  • Assist company executives or project team members as necessary or assigned.

 REPORTING STRUCTURE

 Reports to the Director of Sales.  Supported by company’s Systems Sales Engineer, and other Sales, Technical Services, and/or Marketing staff as designated.

 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Minimum of ten years sales experience.
  • Background in pro audio, contracting, broadcasting, sound reinforcement, systems integration, or high tech electronics beneficial.
  • Exceptional communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary.
  • Must be self-directed, self-motivated, and capable of generating project leads from personal networks and other sources.
  • General business, selling, financial, and customer relations skills required.
  • Approximately 50% travel is anticipated.  This includes regular visits to key customers in addition to road shows, trade shows and special meetings.

Product Repair Technician

TOA Electronics, Inc. has an immediate opening within the Service department for an experienced electronics Product Repair Technician.

The position requires experience in component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment. The ideal candidate will be experienced with repairing audio equipment including mixers, power amplifiers, speakers, digital signal processors, intercom and CCTV products. Required skills include the ability to read schematics, troubleshoot both analog and digital circuits to the component level and excellent soldering technique (SMT a plus).

The candidate should be able to demonstrate clear verbal and written communications skills. An associate degree in Electronics and/or equivalent work experience is required.

Systems Engineer

TOA Electronics, Inc. has an immediate opening within the Product Support Group providing Audio, Security Intercom and CCTV systems design support to our customers. This position requires 5+ years experience in the Audio Visual, Commercial Sound and CCTV industries. The ideal candidate should have experience with the theory, installation and operation of: audio equipment including mixers, 70-volt amplifiers, speakers, digital signal processors and equalizers as well as security intercom and CCTV system products. An electronics background is also required.

Duties include telephone technical and systems design support to dealers and consultants located nationwide related to the selection and design of TOA audio, security intercom and CCTV systems. The position also includes involvement with training, technical writing, market research, product development and tradeshows. This position will also work with and in support of the Manager – Systems Sales.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate clear verbal and written communications skills using MS Office and Power Point and possess the ability to explain complex concepts in simple language. The candidate should also possess typing skills of at least 30 wpm and experience with AutoCAD and MS Excel. A Bachelors level college degree and/or equivalent work experience is required. Travel is estimated to be 5-15% of the time.

Account Payable Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of A/P invoices and weekly check process.
  • Ensure that invoices are properly coded and process and entered timely and accurately with appropriate approvals.
  • Collection of W-9 info for 1099 maintenance and year end reporting to vendors and IRS.
  • Prepare monthly and year end A/P accruals.
  • Assist with month end close and audits.
  • Reconciliation of vendor statements and internal inquiries.
  • Prepare journal entry associated with G/L adjustment.
  • Maintain vendors and contacts files.
  • Other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be organized and self motivated.
  • Ability to work professionally and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are currently located in South San Francisco but will relocate to the Eastbay (Union City/Freemont) by mid year 2008.
