TOA IR Classroom Sound Systems

The new Scholastic & Academy Series-based Classroom Sound Systems are designed to be easy to specify, order & install. One model number gets you everything you need to achieve high-quality, reliable classroom sound & voice-lift. TOA Scholastic & Academy Series classroom systems help students learn better and allows teachers to communicate with less effort.

The Scholastic Series provides basic functionality with ample power, excellent intelligibility and even coverage throughout the classroom. The amplifier can accommodate up to three input sources (including wired/wireless mics, PC or DVD & MP3 Player), plus adjustable spare output for connection to assistive listening, recording or distance learning systems. The Infrared mic system (available with teacher's lanyard-style mic only or lanyard plus handheld mic for student -participation) can operate under conditions where most RF system cannot and there is no limit to the number of systems used school-wide. Mics can easily be moved from classroom to classroom without the need for "returning" frequencies. A choice of wide-range wall-mount speakers or wide-dispersion ceiling speakers provide flexibility of setup for various room conditions and offer excellent sound with consistent room coverage. All connection cables are also included.

The Academy Series provides all the same capabilities as the basic system, but with added functionality, inputs and power. The 35W mixer-amplifier can provide up to five inputs for a wider array of sources. The larger wall-mount speakers can provide better sound with deeper bass (for more engaging sound) and with the extra amplifier power, will cover more distance so students in the rear of the classroom hear as well as those in the front. The amplifier also features a module option slot which can be fitted with additional input types or a sound repeater module for playback of messages, classroom chimes or bell sounds which can sync with the school clock signal. A remote volume port allows use of a wall controller, which the teacher can easily access to change sound levels, even if the amp is hidden.
