The CS-154U outdoor speaker features stainless steel hardware for all-weather durability. It is designed to offer the high intelligibility of weather-resistant horns combined with the high sound quality of dynamic speakers. The CS-154U employs the rotary switch that facilitates impedance changes. It also employs a constant directivity horn for clear sound output over its horizontal range of 90° operation.

[Note] Do not install the speaker face-up from a horizontal plane nor in such a way that the paper cone is exposed to direct sunlight. If water accumulates on the paper cone, pr ultraviolet rays are radiated on it, this may cause the paper cone to deteriorate, leading to speaker malfunction.

Wide Range Speaker

The wide-range paging speaker shall be a constant-directivity design suitable for paging, background music, and tone-signaling distribution. The speaker component shall be a 12 cm (4.72") cone-type driver, treated for weather resistance. Power handling shall be 15 W.
The speaker shall incorporate a matching transformer for 70 V and 100 V distributed systems. Transformer wattage taps shall include:
70 V: 15 W (330 ohms), 7.5 W (670 ohms), 5 W (1k ohms), 2.5 W (2k ohms);
100 V: 15 W (670 ohms), 10 W (1k ohms), 5 W (2k ohms). Sensitivity (1 W/1 m) shall be 97 dB. Frequency response shall be 150 Hz – 15 kHz. Horizontal directivity shall be a constant directivity horn of 90° (±45° horizontal from front axis). The paging speaker shall be UL Listed under category UL 1480 (UEAY). The speaker shall comply with IEC IP 65 for dust and moisture resistance. The horn/cover material shall be fire-resistant ABS resin, off-white, paint. The protective net shall be aluminum, gray, paint. All mounting hardware, including the bracket and screws, shall be stainless steel. Terminations shall be via an integral 2-core cabtyre cable, 6 mm (0.24") in diameter and 600 mm (24") in length. Dimensions (W × H × D) shall be 366 × 230 × 272 mm (14.41" × 9.06" × 10.71"). Weight shall be 2.8 kg (6.17 lb).
