The IR-801AF is an Audio Interface Unit designed for use in school classrooms in conjunction with the IR-310M Infrared Wireless Microphone, the IR-802T Infrared Wireless Tuner, and the IR-820SP Infrared Speaker (by CAT-5 UTP cable). It has both an analogue audio output, and a contact trigger output. It has the capability to connect with external equipment like a paging system, strobe light, or message repeater such as the TOA EV-20R. The IR-310M's function button permits control of an external device using its function button which will trigger the IR-801AF’s contact output, often used for emergency alerts.
